Dabangg 3
2019 · PinkVilla · Dec 2019
For most of Salman Khan fans, his film is a euphoria. It's about a god-like fandom which defies the logic and deductions enumerated in the four-column reviews of the critics. The third installment of Dabangg series begets the question: Can you sustain and gain from the tactic for far too long? Irrespective of what any critic would tell you, there can hardly be a doubt that there is nothing that can stop a Salman Khan film at the box office. However, wise people say, never say never!

Batla House
2019 · PinkVilla · Aug 2019
Batla House is a movie made for those who want to revisit the pages of history. On the Independence Day, the police officers deserve a film like Batla House to remind us that there is a world in between the two extremes of 'memes' and the 'hyper-national portrayal of the forces'.

Judgementall Hai Kya
2019 · PinkVilla · Jul 2019
Judgementall Hai Kya might not be the perfect thriller-comedy, but it's surely an attempt to try something different without being judgemental about the audience's taste.

Super 30
2019 · PinkVilla · Jul 2019
Super 30 is a story of triumph that is well-narrated but bucks down a bit for entertaining the audience with a tint of avoidable Bollywood drama.

Article 15
2019 · PinkVilla · Jun 2019
After a memorable performance as a blind conman in Andhadhun, Ayushmann Khurrana is coming to the box office this weekend with Article 15. The Anubhav Sinha directorial focuses on the issue of caste discrimination which is hammered in the minds of the audience repeatedly with finesse.

Bharat
2019 · PinkVilla · Jun 2019
The movie comes to a complete circle in the climax. There are no questions left unanswered, leaving you satisfied. You laugh, you weep and you just feel nice for Bharat. The movie is treated like a grandpa telling a couple of tales to his grand-kids and it does it beautifully. Watch Bharat for it will definitely bring a huge smile on your face. I never felt so heartwarming since Bhajrangi Bhaijaan. Suggestion: Watch it with an avid Salman Khan fan in a single screen for a memory of a lifetime.

Romeo Akbar Walter
2019 · PinkVilla · Apr 2019
RAW could have had an interesting story line but Robbie Grewal's overambitious route leads to the downfall of RAW. Patriotism is overused to compensate for what we will call bland storytelling.

Zero
2018 · PinkVilla · Dec 2018
Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif's fine performances are the backbones of the film Zero. The first half is a treat to watch while the second half is too long and stretched.

Badhaai Ho
2018 · PinkVilla · Oct 2018
...manages to ruffle many emotions in us while keeping it engaging and progressive. It is definitely a circus, ticket to which you don't want to miss out on.

Manmarziyaan
2018 · PinkVilla · Sep 2018
Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal's film Manmarziyaan may not be everyone's cup of tea but if you are a diehard fan of romantic movies, it is a love story worth watching.

Sanju
2018 · PinkVilla · Jun 2018
ou wish Hirani had exhibited more maturity in the script. Somehow, the favourable approach towards Dutt bothers you but the film is so high on entertainment value, energy and brilliant storytelling that the buff in me is satiated and the journalist in me is enraged.

Raazi
2018 · PinkVilla · May 2018
Raazi also works for its novelty. There is charm in the unexplored and especially when it's this well-done it's a treat. Gun blazing action, though wholesome and entertaining is often exhausting. Why can't spy movies be more brain and less brawn? Meghna skilfully tries her hand at that, and though there are a few stray shortcomings, Raazi is unsettling which is the most delectable thing about it. Watch out for Meghna's truth is stranger than fiction stories. She has a knack for finding the most potent ones.

Simran
2017 · PinkVilla · Sep 2017
Simran has so much going for it that you really want to like the film, root for Praful, draw satisfaction from a stellar performance of a fine artiste like Kangana. But then, something doesn't work for the film. Unfortunately, it's a great one-time watch which makes you wish that the makers had fine-tuned it enough to propel it towards a huge success!

Tubelight
2017 · PinkVilla · Jun 2017
...it could be Kabir's most mediocre movie till date but when television news channels cannot stop screaming about strained relations, fuelling war from volatile situations rather than dousing them, here's a story that must be heard. As a film it might not be an exemplary work but as a thought it dares to provoke impressionable minds to use logic rather than fall prey to warmongering. Who's listening?

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion
2017 · PinkVilla · Apr 2017
Bahubali might well be a red letter moment for movie buffs in this country where a indigenous film is able to enthuse a mammoth of a reaction like this. For years we have been blabbering about content being king over the superstars Khans and Kapoors alike, but here is a film, which with regular actors who have grown to be monumental by the sheer credit of what they brought to the table. Give it up for Rajamouli for what he has managed to whip up. As for the film, it is a decadent watch that must be savored. We don't see a reason to not watch it. There is nothing like a homegrown spectacle.

Phillauri
2017 · PinkVilla · Mar 2017
The underwritten love stories never realize their full potential and Phillauri treads down the familiar half-baked Bollywood path. What, however, stays consistently arresting is the film's music which is every bit worth cherishing. With some better writing and some tight editing, the makers could've whipped up a Chamatkar. This isn't half as novel, earnest or memorable. If idle, take that trip to the nearby multiplex, but make it about the caramel popcorn more than the ghost bride. She doesn't have the menace, charm or intention to haunt you.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania
2017 · PinkVilla · Mar 2017
There are several humorous moments between the sturdy supporting actors which salvage the odds. Varun gets a standout one when he buys a kamino (kimono) for Alia. Do you watch it? Yes. For the point it makes. For Alia, who sparkles as a no nonsense, all business beauty. For Varun, who makes all the effort come together in the end. Let's not underrate the boy. He can do it all, be gritty, act fabulously, be his character and all of it while dancing like a star. May be there is already a superstar here.

Kaabil
2017 · PinkVilla · Jan 2017
What doesn't work is the pace! It is awfully slow and between one scene and another, there is a light years' gap. The superfluous dance numbers are nothing more than Rajesh Roshan going back to his young years to end the secret of his magic. The VFX work is shoddy and Gupta's tinted Instagram-filterish view of every scene could get a bit tiring. Since the editing has its own share of flaws, the film in the second half makes you dreary.

Raees
2017 · PinkVilla · Jan 2017
To point out that the film is unoriginal is futile. Besides blaming the convoluted writing of the film, its forgettable songs at regular intervals hardly makes a strong case for it. Its fabulous dialogues are a handful in number and doesn't have the punch, one may have hoped for.

Ok Jaanu
2017 · PinkVilla · Jan 2017
The last fifteen minutes of the film are pacy and just about crackling. But it takes too long to get to the point. Obviously, novelty in rom-coms is a wrong expectation but this one seems sincere. What doesn't convince me, however, is the reason for their commitment phobia. Shraddha's character has some context, Adi, however, settles for being a regular boy with no backstory. There is a lot of heart, enough mush but not much to remember. We hear; OK Kanmani was better. Take your pick for this one - Remake or Original?

Dangal
2016 · PinkVilla · Dec 2016
Dangal is an apt homage to their spirit. All you must want for Christmas is to watch this movie. This one is to cherish and for the keeps.

Befikre
2016 · PinkVilla · Dec 2016
...despite these abundant things to appreciate, cinematically, Befikre is ridden with flaws. It has a convoluted second half. There is a genuine lack of impeccable chemistry but individually they do a smooth job to even out the odds. However, these hitches don't kill the carefree spirit of the film. This one makes you want to rejoice, laugh with abandon, love unabashedly, kiss freely and dance with joy. Aur kya chahiye? This movie feels a lot like love.

Kahaani 2
2016 · PinkVilla · Dec 2016
The obviousness was absolutely absent in Kahaani and this time the guess work ends pretty soon, even before the story has unraveled its big mystery. The suspense is hardly piercing when it is muttered screen which is often a thriller's biggest failure.

Kahaani 2
2016 · Dec 2016
...The mind games have gone obsolete. the actors are commendable - Jugal is worth a mention, Arjun is lightyears ahead of anything he has been seen in recent times but it pivots on Vidya, who shoulders it steadily. But the writing is loose, missing Sujoy's crisp narrative from last night.

Dear Zindagi
2016 · PinkVilla · Nov 2016
Dear Zindagi starts off as a rap song but ends on an aarti note. Too bad you never realized when your party turned into a jagrata.

Force 2
2016 · PinkVilla · Nov 2016
The one thing, you can't question is Abhinay Deo's intentions. He does his best to make a nifty thriller that doesn't give you a minute to breathe and takes you on a roller coaster ride, which any adrenaline junkie will enjoy. The evolved movie-goers, however, need more than just time pass. There's so much to enjoy yet it's just not enough.

Rock On 2
2016 · PinkVilla · Nov 2016
It is not terrible but when you go for this movie, despite the ample warning from its boring trailers, you ought to have expected what the film has proven – THE MAGIK HAS RUN OUT! Watch a rerun of Gattu's movie instead; this one is a limp show.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
2016 · PinkVilla · Oct 2016
As a Diwali hamper, it is passable. You laugh at the jokes, you cry a little. The music is great. If you don't mind watching Rockstar marries Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and has a child named Fault in your stars in two-and-a-half hours, then you can watch Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. This Diwali, it is the less ridiculous of the two releases.

Shivaay
2016 · PinkVilla · Oct 2016
Performances are stable but the story is a let down. 172 minutes is a lot to bear some good butt kickin'. Ajay, hire some better writers next time and give the chillum a break!

Mirzya
2016 · PinkVilla · Oct 2016
Even at 2 hours and a couple of minutes, Mirzya is dreadfully tiresome to watch. It is arresting visually but too dull to hold your attention.

M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story
2016 · PinkVilla · Sep 2016
It is a tad disappointing that the well-orchestrated film isn't as well-nuanced. Resting solely on the acting prowess of the lead man and the charisma of the subject isn't enough in a good film. This one had potential but the screenplay doesn't justify it. Here's on of those films that will get registers ringing, families will flock to the theaters, make it to DVD shelves but fails to be pathbreaking cinema. The subject deserved better, Dhoni deserved better but in a country, where offence is our favourite tool, it is best to play safe. So what if it's not the explosive style he is known for.

Banjo
2016 · PinkVilla · Sep 2016
The one thing Ravi does flawlessly is celebrating the city of Mumbai, its indomitable spirit, its unending vibrancy, its energy, all of these find a perfect homage in the movie. The camaraderie between characters is earthen. A special mention for Vishal and Shekhar who deliver a terrific, well-synced album after long. There are far and few moments of brilliance in the film but in its better parts, you see the glimpse of the maverick filmmaker who deserves to be given another chance by Bollywood.

Pink
2016 · PinkVilla · Sep 2016
It is a riveting courtroom drama that makes you want to stop blinking so as to not miss even a moment. We all are familiar with the incidents that could've triggered the story but Pink is a film that will be memorable for the impact it creates. Are women equal? Not even close but there is hope for change. Let's make a beginning.

Baar Baar Dekho
2016 · PinkVilla · Sep 2016
If you have to settle for a half-baked story for the sake of all this, I say it ain't a bad bet.

Akira
2016 · PinkVilla · Sep 2016
It is clichéd, never quite as unpredictable as you would expect it to be, but Akira does a darn good job of holding your attention. By giving Bollywood a lady who can pack a punch and can knock out in a blow, the director salvages the situation. Sona and Kashyap keep you glued till the end. If you are looking for some familiar entertainment, it is here but the tables have turned, thankfully. Meet the hero - Sonakshi, you are kickass girl.

A Flying Jatt
2016 · PinkVilla · Aug 2016
If you are looking for a superhero film, we will have to ask Krrish to return. All those who love their Ironman, Spider-Man and Superman, avoid. Vishwas uth jayega.

Happy Bhag Jayegi
2016 · PinkVilla · Aug 2016
The only reason we recommend you watch this film is because it is a breezy romantic comedy that keeps melodrama at bay. It is a rare movie that only wants you to leave the theatre with a smile and does a sincere job at it. Are we happy? Well, yes almost.

Mohenjo Daro
2016 · PinkVilla · Aug 2016
Gowariker's flaccid screenplay makes the film pointless. There is so much happening but the shaky execution makes it look meaningless. The dialogues are lame. A word of caution for the climax which is so shakily done that it made me wonder if the director is the same man who walked the red carpet of Oscars.

Rustom
2016 · PinkVilla · Aug 2016
Rustom is an strange mix of funny and dull but it is never as gluing one would've hoped.

Dishoom
2016 · PinkVilla · Jul 2016
It is a good looking, pacy movie that flaunts bling, stunts and babes. Dishoom is well made and is a hell lot of fun.

Sultan
2016 · PinkVilla · Jul 2016
Sultan is perfectly watchable, Salman's star power gives the film an edge but it is still an opportunity lost. Expect it to get the cash registers ringing but Sultan will be forgotten after two helpings of Eid's biryani.

Raman Raghav 2.0
2016 · PinkVilla · Jun 2016
As the film's final credits roll down, you have an unsettling feeling about it. Torn between your strong tug to appreciate the quirky bent of mind and slam the filmmaker's over indulgence, you are left in lurch unsure about what to say about the movie. In such a scenario, one thing is certain. You definitely didn't like what you saw. The material had potential but the vision was clouded by the need to prove a point.

Udta Punjab
2016 · PinkVilla · Jun 2016
Udta Punjab loses steam towards the end. Trimmer editing could've saved the story but then again how perfectly can you make a film about the imperfect situation in Punjab. This film comes the closest to it. We recommend you take a trip down this trippy road that pierces its point into you. Get a rush guys, that's the way cinema is meant to be enjoyed. This is the real kick, minus the superstar antics...

Te3n
2016 · PinkVilla · Jun 2016
Te3n is drab and lets down its luminous cast and the audience whose appetite for such films is growing by the day.

Housefull 3
2016 · PinkVilla · Jun 2016
Fans will happily rubbish reviews, this and we assure you many more, saying that critics are a bunch of grumpy people who don't know how to take a joke. Haaa…critics are just people who find impossible to use their brains depending on a film's genre. Movies are either good, bad or ugly and Housefull 3 is tragically ugly. Housefull 3 cracked horrible jokes. Housefull 3 offended.

Veerappan
2016 · PinkVilla · May 2016
We won't call the script incoherent. In fact, one of the film's biggest plusses is its writing. Even when the actors stumble at their jobs, the material comes to their rescue. But Ramu's vision is compromised towards the end. It is almost as if he didn't know how to execute his story. His confidence helps the ship sail through, but there is hardly anything noteworthy to say about it. Barring the scene in which the dacoit kills an informer, there is not another equally overwhelming scene to its credit.

Sarbjit
2016 · PinkVilla · May 2016
You walk into the theatres film expecting a grim, sombre movie but Omung instead mets out a half-baked tale that woos you in bits but is inherently too dull to move you. The only reason you remain invested in this flimsy screenplay is because of Randeep Hooda. He is fantastic in every frame.

Azhar
2016 · PinkVilla · May 2016
This is one of those films you can watch because your wife wants a tub of popcorn and you want an outing to shush a domestic crisis. But for Azhar's lovers or even film buffs, the film is an opportunity lost. It is watchable, despite the corny, over-the-top dialogues, but never becomes a fitting tribute to a fallen hero. At no point will you feel Azhar's hurt or frustration. Yes, the one thing it will surely make you do is rewatch his old matches. In there lies a better story than the one Emraan plays out on screen.

Baaghi
2016 · PinkVilla · Apr 2016
Baaghi is sincere but that doesn't translate to good. Do you enjoy watching the film? Just the action. It is mostly too far-fetched and watching two expressionless dolls batting eyelids at each other is far from satisfying. If you are an action-junkie, you wouldn't mind wasting your energy on this but for others this is a tiresome trek that doesn't end on an exhilarating note.

Nil Battey Sannata
2016 · PinkVilla · Apr 2016
As you exit the theatre misty-eyed, you are overwhelmed by the story. You come out believing that dreams do come true. And hardwork assures you a better chance at it than luck.

Fan
2016 · PinkVilla · Apr 2016
For the first hour of the film, Maneesh keeps the story moving smoothly. But it eventually suffers from over-plotting and a grievous lack of logic.

Ki and Ka
2016 · PinkVilla · Apr 2016
It does have its own plusses, but that doesn't take away the fact that Ki & Ka defeats its purpose. Talk about stereotyping and no one film has done it more methodically than this one. No, you won't detest this film but it is saddening to see the effort go in vain. With its stock issues and patchy solutions to them, the film lacks insight. No matter how watchable it is, the contrived narrative never allows it rise above average.

Rocky Handsome
2016 · PinkVilla · Mar 2016
John's hot bod and slick action can't save the underwhelming actioner...

Kapoor & Sons
2016 · PinkVilla · Mar 2016
Watch Kapoor and Sons to celebrate your imperfections. Here's a perfect ode to being imperfect...how definitions dampen life. Live in the moment and enjoy every bit of the carnival we call life.

Teraa Surroor
2016 · PinkVilla · Mar 2016
Watch it if you need some comedy on a weekend. When you are in some desperate need for laughs, unintentional humour can provide you bucketfuls of it...unadulterated. Get some beer and friends to go with it.

Jai Gangaajal
2016 · PinkVilla · Mar 2016
If someone from the film deserves to be applauded, besides Priyanka, it is Manav Kaul. He is fantastic and together, they manage to make the film watchable. But Jai Gangaajal doesn't merit being applauded. It lacks holistic understanding and is something you would watch on TV on Republic Day.

Tere Bin Laden Dead Or Alive
2016 · PinkVilla · Feb 2016
As we sign off with this write-up, let's warn the makers to keep up their guards. Osama's spirit will come to haunt you for this. We wish it were ROFL but it was plain STFU, if you know what we mean.

Aligarh
2016 · PinkVilla · Feb 2016
Heartbreaking, triumphant, defiant, shocking, Hansal Mehta successfully manages to blow your mind with this heart wrenching film. Manoj, Rajkummar and Apurva all emerge as heroes in their own right. It is one of those rare times when the film wins.

Neerja
2016 · PinkVilla · Feb 2016
Neerja has a haunting impact. You are terrorized, you are heartbroken, you are overwhelmed but mostly you are deeply influenced by her strength and courage. More than anything else, Neerja is inspiring.

Sanam Re
2016 · PinkVilla · Feb 2016
Sanam Re is a lot more matured compared to the dismal Yaariyan. The putrid vein of thought is a lot in control. On the report card, Divya manages a better grade. At least, Sanam Re isn't idiotic. It tries to make sense and the pairing has some freshness which doesn't translate to fantastic.

Fitoor
2016 · PinkVilla · Feb 2016
Fitoor stands in a shaky space, wobbling between being average and brilliant. There are moments that will blow your mind – the passion is enlivening. You want to invest in the characters, get sucked into the extravagant world of enchanting valleys and the stories that inhabit its nook and corners, alleys and bylanes…with the Persian lyrics of Haminastu in Zeb's earthy voice echoing in your ears… Sadly, the only love story you would want to celebrate in Fitoor is the director and cinematographer's love for ethereal beauty of Kashmir and Amit Trivedi's undying romance with melody. The rest of it is prosaic.

Ghayal Once Again
2016 · PinkVilla · Feb 2016
Ghayal Once Again is a desperate cry from the 90s - a mediocre time we've thankfully come ahead of. Not a colossal disappointment but too dated to ring true and a damp squib that discredits the success it won in its prime.

Saala Khadoos
2016 · PinkVilla · Jan 2016
Saala Khadoos' flaws overpower its genuineness. We wouldn't go as far as to call it a shallow film, but there is a serious lack of heart that cannot be compensated for.

Airlift
2016 · PinkVilla · Jan 2016
Airlift is gripping in its first half and shaky in its second. It starts off with gusto but loses momentum halfway through. As you root for the indomitable spirit of those who survived the horrific war, let's take a moment to think why such well-mounted films fail to create the macabre, suspenseful, race-against-time impact. Why settle for being just about okay when you have the makings of being mesmeric!

Wazir
2016 · PinkVilla · Jan 2016
Wazir has all the makings of an irresistible, sexy, tempting thriller that comes together in its climax but doesn't roll out as convincingly as expected. It tries to be deceptive but doesn't have enough to outsmart all. It evokes thought, woos you with its brusque, bravado style and its distinct flavour. If you can survive the boredom of the weaker moments in the movie, you might just be left intrigued with the power of its crackling climax.

Dilwale
2015 · PinkVilla · Dec 2015
Dilwale never lives up to the hype it had created around itself. For most part, it is an all-noise vanity project for stars who genuinely want to show us a good time but are held back by an impotent script helmed by a man whose competency lies is another genre.

Bajirao Mastani
2015 · PinkVilla · Dec 2015
Its gimmicks, its indulgence, its flaws, all blend in by the time the end credits roll. The sweeping visuals, the distracting tapestry, the engaging love story and the unapologetic, unabashed love for the celluloid is what makes Bajirao Mastani haunting. Bajirao Mastani is monumental... Every line has a dialogue polished with care, every shot a dream you are bound to love. SLB has never been this earnest and that's enough to forgive all his aiyashis he has subjected us to. This one is just Mohabbat...straight from the heart.

Hate Story 3
2015 · PinkVilla · Dec 2015
If you do decide on watching it, do so for the dialogues. They are gems. The film evokes hate of another level. It is vile, disgusting and you'll repeat what a character says - just get me get out of this goddamn place. It gives bad a new meaning.

Tamasha
2015 · PinkVilla · Nov 2015
Tamasha is not a romantic comedy but it is breathtakingly romantic. It will knock the wind out of you. It is the kind of love that changes you, brings out your real self - ugly, eccentric, absolutely weird but affable. Imtiaz's films cast that spell, catapults you into a parallel world and this time he pulls it off better than ever before. Give your conflicted side a chance, it probably can do better than you believe.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
2015 · PinkVilla · Nov 2015
... makes for a sparkling watch this Diwali. Fall for the grandeur, reconnect with values and try not to seek much of a story. Though we must warn you that sitting through a three-hour long film can be daunting in times of web-series and short films. But that's what Barjatya is all about. Take some time out of your busy schedules to return to a bygone era, of simpler things, family films and Prem - who is waiting for you with his arms open.

Main Aur Charles
2015 · PinkVilla · Oct 2015
In the end, the film throws up a bunch of interesting ideas which doesn't come together coherently in the plot. The prime problem is that the film is too much soul and very less substance. It was promising but half-baked, with the thrills falling short in supply.

Titli
2015 · PinkVilla · Oct 2015
Bahl and Katariya have written a potent script that believes in conveying without many words. It is amazing that none of the characters have a backstory that was forcibly incorporated to add substance to the script. Good writing is so holistic that it paints the right picture without meandering and still manages to keep it wholesome. It is commendable how the film's vision is never myopic and is always intact on the narrative. The homosexual relationship is never excavated but is observed when blatantly suggested. The multiple dysfunctionalaties leads way to a delicious story.

Shaandaar
2015 · PinkVilla · Oct 2015
It is great to watch, enjoyable in parts, a treat for romantics who finally get a film that is more than trials and tribulations of love but it never gives you the heady high of mushrooms and pot brownies. Shaandaar isn't all that Shaandaar but is a breezy, feel-good entertainment that will soon in future will be counted as comfort-cinema. Bahl deserves to be applauded for creating newer tangents to deliver on and not replicating what already exists. Until next time, dream on!

Jazbaa
2015 · PinkVilla · Oct 2015
Jazbaa is daring, menacing, intriguing and aptly gripping but is never more than a shadow of its original. Novelty is avoidable if the product is able to latch itself to your subconscious (My facourite example of this is Barfi), but Jazbaa barely scrapes through on those grounds. It works but it could've been so much better.

Talvar
2015 · PinkVilla · Oct 2015
Talvar shines because of its loftily detailed screenplay. It is hard to find suspense in a widely discussed case like Aarushi's. It is inevitable to be aware of every detail, prominent and petty ones alike, given the amount of media interest in the murder.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu
2015 · PinkVilla · Sep 2015
This hare-brained, idiotic buffoonery stoops too low for laughs and if you have any dignity and an inkling of respect for humour, give Kapil Sharma's debut debacle a miss. As Mrs Funnybones writes, nothing is life is sacred, except laughter....Respect it!

Katti Batti
2015 · PinkVilla · Sep 2015
Since the makers claimed that the film's climax has a heartwrenching twist, here's word of caution : the best thing about Katti Batti's 'gloomy' ending is that you can finally go have aspirin for that nagging, hammering headache the film gave you. We have solid reasons to be cross with Katti Batti, do you?

Welcome Back
2015 · PinkVilla · Sep 2015
From mumbling bizarre one-liners to gyrating to strange dance steps, Anees resorts to the lowest forms of physical comedy to evoke laughs. The stock antics aren't delightful enough and the story doesn't allow any of its actors to flaunt their vivacious comic streak to the fullest.

Phantom
2015 · PinkVilla · Aug 2015
With exquisite cinematography, charming shots and stellar stunts, Phantom scores as a terrific, taut, crisp, nail-biting thriller that will easily be unmatched for a long time to come. When we see the final shot of Taj and Gateway, it is hard to miss the feeling of satisfaction Kabir has conjured up. So what if isn't true yet, some day the souls of those killed on that gruesome night will be avenged. Some day...

Bangistan
2015 · PinkVilla · Aug 2015
The biggest pitfall of the movie is Riteish's character who feels so strongly about Muslims being stereotyped by the society that he turns into a suicide bomber. It is extremely bizarre. This film is a plain victim of bad direction and avoids everything (read Riteish) that could've saved him. This film is a victim of shabby direction. If Karan needs a lesson in films of this genre he must grab a copy of Four Lions which was pertinent and entertaining. Bangistan is low on bangs, fun and everything it promised it will entail.

Drishyam
2015 · PinkVilla · Jul 2015
Drishyam is nifty and is all about the nail-bitingness that edge-of-the-seat stuff are made of.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan
2015 · PinkVilla · Jul 2015
We have always been of the opinion that reviewing a Salman Khan film is futile. Not that the opinion has budged much with this, but this is one film that one wouldn't mind writing about. Its message is captivating and more than that its pristine soul leaves you emotionally stirred. Fan or not this film is worth a watch. Eid aa gayi aur who apni Eidi lene aa gaya.

Bāhubali: The Beginning
